Membership and Purchasing
What is the Karate Kids Home Fitness Program?
The Karate Kids Club is one of the largest children’s fitness programs in North America.
Karate Kids helps children learn Martial Arts and fitness in the convenience of your own home. Our lessons build focus, concentration, self esteem, respect and confidence. Lessons are 25 minutes long, twice per week, and your child participates on your schedule.
What does the 3 month membership include?
The 3 month program includes:
- 2 lessons per week for 3 months including, Karate lessons, fun Fitness workouts, progress testing's and the Yellow Stripe Belt Test.
Membership also includes the Members Kit which includes:
- The Karate Kids Team Uniform (headband and belt), Student Manual, Motivational Poster, Exercise equipment, Progress Belt Stickers and the Yellow Stripe Belt.
- Members also will receive their own private user profile on the Karate Kids Club site, where they will track their own progress and have access to games, contests, interactive lessons and the ability to earn their belts faster.
Is there any age or previous experience requirements?
The Karate Kids Club Beginner Program is for children ages 4 and up.
No previous experience required. Everyone can do it, even children who have done martial arts before.
What are my payment options?
Visa™, Mastercard™ and Amercian Express™ are currently accepted.
Do you sell clothing or merchandise?
Now at the moment, please stay tuned.
Do you sell to the U.S.A.?
Yes, we support customers from the United States.
Are there any discounts for multiple orders?
Not at this time, because each membership requires its own full set of equipment and unique user profiles.
Do you have adult programs from home?
Not yet. If you are interested in an adult home program we can email you.
What uniform sizes are available?
All equipment and uniforms are 'ONE SIZE FITS ALL'.
Refunds
If I return the program, do I have to return all of the materials?
Yes, to qualify for the refund, they have to call us within the 30 days to cancel their membership, and then mail back all of the program contents. Failure to follow the rules will void the warranty and result in full payment being applied to the credit card.
Kids Club
Is there a club where the kids can talk to one another?
At this point there is no 'social networking' component of the kids club. However, members will have access to email in questions to the instructors if they need any help.
Members also will receive their own private user profile on the Karate Kids Club site, where they will track their own progress and have access to games, contests, interactive lessons and the ability to earn their belts faster.
The Program
Can you go outside and do the program, or has to be in front of TV?
You must do it in front of the TV to follow the lessons. However, children are encouraged to practice their Karate Kids outside for fun, if their parents say it is ok.
Will Karate make my kid aggressive with other kids?
No it will not. Karate Kids will teach your child discipline, respect and confidence. They are taught that self control is an important part of being on the Karate Kids Team.
What should my child wear?
Anything a child would wear in Phys-Ed class in school.
Comfortable clothing. Shorts, track pants, t-shirts, shoes or bare feet, sweat shirts, yoga pants, martial arts uniforms. All of this stuff is fine.
Do parents need to stay and watch the Kids while they work out?
No supervision is needed, however, parents can watch their child do the lessons, or even participate!
Parents are encouraged to watch the 'Testing Lessons' (lesson 4, 8 and 12) as they can see what their child has been learning and will be prompted to award their child with their progress achievement stickers concluded with the Yellow-Stripe Belt.
How much space is required?
Not much. Just a small amount of space in front of the TV.
Is the belt recognized by others?
Yes!
The 'Yellow stripe' belt the children receive is connected to the curriculum they are learning. The curriculum is a standardized Marital Arts curriculum and will allow a Karate Kids member to join any Martial Arts School (Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Kempo etc) and they will know the basic moves. Each school uses a different set of colored Belts; however, the curriculum is all the same.
Do you need any other equipment?
No, the member’s kit includes everything you need.
Graduation
Is the graduation belt recognized by others?
Yes!
